Before Your First Session
A gentle guide to what therapy is, what to expect, and how to arrive — so the first step feels a little less unknown.
What therapy is (and isn’t)
- A confidential space to be heard without judgement
- A place to make sense of what you’re carrying, at your pace
- Not advice-giving, fixing, or being told what to do
- You don’t need a diagnosis or the “right” words to begin
What the first session looks like
A free hello call first. A short, no-pressure conversation to see if it feels right. Arrive with nothing prepared.
We match you with Anoushka or Janvi — whoever fits what you’re carrying. You stay with the same therapist throughout.
Your first full session is 50 minutes, online, ₹500 — and every rupee goes to a charity you choose, agreed together on day one.
How to prepare (optional)
- Find a private spot where you won’t be interrupted
- Have water and tissues nearby
- Jot one line: “What made me reach out now?”
- It’s okay to say “I don’t know where to start”
Questions you’re allowed to ask
- How do you usually work?
- What happens to what I share?
- How will we know it’s helping?
- Can I change therapist if it’s not the right fit?
A note on privacy. What you share stays between you and your therapist, within professional and legal limits. Your confidentiality is the foundation of the work.
